The Kings have acquired 19-year-old defenseman Colin MacDonald (Calgary) from the Superior International Junior Hockey League's English River Miners in exchange for future considerations. MacDonald has 1 assist in 5 games with the Miners this season. He also spent 15 games in the KIJHL where he recorded 3 assists with the Grand Forks Border Bruins. Last season MacDonald dressed 39 games for the Calgary Mustangs of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, recording 1 goal and 3 assists.

Monday The Kings have traded 20-year-old defenseman Hayden Pierce (Winnipeg) to the Virden Oil Capitals in exchange for 16-year-old defenseman Nicholas Hatley (Morden). Hatley was just in Dauphin Sunday as member of the Manitoba Midget Hockey League's Pembina Valley Hawks playing against the Parkland Rangers. He has 10 assists this year in 31 games. Pierce recorded 1 assist in 6 games with the Kings this season.
