Dauphin, Canada

The Dauphin Kings racked up 52 shots tonight but came up just short in a 4-3 loss to Neepawa.

After Neepawa scored just :27 into the game, Riley Buller tied up the affair 10:50 in. Neepawa would go on to score one more to take a 2-1 lead after 20.

Ste. Rose’s Kurtis Luke added a goal in the second and Neepawa scored one more to take a 4-1 lead.

Neepawa’s four goals came on their first eight shots.

George King cut into the deficit with a power play goal at the 12:37 mark to trail 4-2 after 40.

Dauphin would score their third goal on the PP of the night just 1:25 into the final frame, but that was it.

They continued to pepper the Natives goalie with shots, but couldn’t get anymore past as they dropped the contest.

On top of scoring three PP goals, Dauphin went 4-4 on the PK.

Next up for the club is a date with Selkirk on Friday evening.

We’ll have that broadcast here on 730CKDM.

The pregame show hits the airwaves at 7:15.
