There's no hiding the fact that Dauphin's Rueben Houle is one of the best discus throwers in the entire province.
Now, he hopes to back that fact up this weekend, as he'll be in Winnipeg trying out for Team Manitoba.
"I'm really excited for the opportunity," said Houle. "I know it's going to be a really tough challenge, but I'm looking forward to it."
At the High School Track & Field Provincial Championships, Houle placed fourth in the entire province.
Houle will tryout in the Youth (2001-2002) age group.
If successful, he'll be one of several athletes that will represent Manitoba at an event in Sherwood Park, Alberta from July 27-29 that will feature teams from Saskatchewan and Alberta.
"I'm going to really push myself so I can make the team," he added.
