It was a good start for the Kings as 12:10 into the first, Grady Hobbs trailed the play and picked up a rebound as he put the Kings up 1-0 and that's where it stood after 20 minutes.
To start the second, it was another good start for the Kings as they increased their lead to 2-0, 1:02 into the frame as Jaymes Knee picked up his third of the season, but the Blizzard rebounded as they cut the deficit in half to 2-1 at 11:05, and that's where it ended as the Kings led 2-1 after 40.
The Blizzard came out firing on all cylinders in the third, as they tied the game at two at the 5:08 mark.
The Kings once again rebounded as Grady Hobbs picked up his second of the game, which ended up being the game-winner at the 9:30 mark of the third. The Blizzard attempted to tie it, but the Kings locked down defensively, and Brennan Kitchen made some big-time saves before Danny Pion sealed the game with 11 seconds left.
The Kings will take on Virden on Friday in the Annual "Teddy Bear Toss" Game.
