World Girls Hockey Weekend is coming to Credit Union Place!

If you're a girl, you can get yourself involved with World Girls Hockey Weekend this Saturday at Credit Union Place!

11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. -  During this time, girls will learn more about Female Hockey Development programs and Female Hockey Officiating opportunities.

12:30 p.m. - Try Goaltending -  Learn the FUNdamentals of playing goal! Guest goalie coaches will be on hand to encourage and support our female players as they give goaltending a go! (goalie pads, glove, and blocker will be provided).

1:30 p.m. - Female Hockey Jamboree - Teams will be determined by event organizers with Guest Coaches on hand to match lines and manage team benches.  

2:45 p.m. - Mothers vs Daughters - The mothers will come into this game as the defending Champions!

"We have a lot of fun during the event," said Ann Ransom, President of the Parkland Minor Hockey Association. "We have some free giveaways. It's just an opportunity for female players to play hockey together. This event is all about the social aspect, and you learn so many things. It's just overall a great day."
