It didn't take the Natives long to score in the first frame, as just 4:38 seconds in, Benoit Mowbray took a pass from Lewis Negrich and put it past Brady Weiss as Neepawa took a 1-0 lead.
Under three minutes later, Riese Gaber continued his impressive preseason as he sniped a shot past Noah Morin with Brendan Arnold picking up the assist as the Kings tied the game at one.
Then under 10 minutes later, Kyle Oleksiuk walked out into the slot and sniped a shot low side past Morin as the Kings led 2-1 after one period.
Neepawa didn't trail long in the second period, as one of their most dangerous players, Justin Metcalf tied the game just one minute into the period.
The game stayed tied at two until the 16:38 mark when Jordan Martin got a shot past Parker Waseylenko as Neepawa took a 3-2 lead, and that's where it stood after 40 minutes.
The third period provided lots of physicality, bad blood, but no goals as the Neepawa Natives earned a win for the second straight night.
Both teams recorded 27 shots in the game.
Dauphin went 1-5 on the power play, and Neepawa went 0-3.
The Kings return to the CUP on Friday evening, as they play the first of four straight against Virden. Puck drop is set for 7:30.
Saturday's game can be heard right here on 730CKDM with the pregame show beginning at 7:20 with Darnell Duff and Al Gaines.
