Loss in Semi-Finals for Neepawa's Hanke Rink: Curling Recap

Neepawa's Darla Hanke had an abrupt end to her Traveler's Curling Club Provincial run this weekend at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling CLub in Winnipeg.

 

The lone remaining Parkland team left in the Travelers on both the men's and women's side lost to Stacey Fordyce out of Brandon 8-5 on Sunday afternoon.

Fordyce went on to win the Travelers Curling Club Provincials, and will represent Manitoba in November at the Travelers Club Nationals, where a host has yet to be determined. 

On the men's side, Mark Anderson out of Riverview took this years Provincial crown. No Parkland team made the playoffs in this event.

The Canadian Rugby Championships didn't start off well for the Prairie Blizzard U18 women's team, but Friday was as grand as it gets, as the team beat Quebec, 26-21 to record it's first win in program history out of three programs, (U19 boys), (U18 boys), U18 girls).
