"Like in the years past, we've done this for several years, we run a pre season skills camp that specifically targets female hockey players," said Phil Fafard, Coach, and Organizer. "It's just an opportunity for them to be with other female players."
The camp includes instruction on skating, puck control, passing and shooting skills from various guest coaches/instructors, and will take place each Saturday and Sunday from September 10-October 14.
"We focus on individual skills," said Fafard. "Traditionally female hockey players do not spend a lot of time on their puck handling skills, and skating skills, so that's something we will definitely be working on."
The cost to take part in the camp is just $90 and in total, each player will get 10 on-ice sessions, and the camp is limited to 50 players, so if you want to sign up, now is the time.
The camp will be split into two groups. Atom and Peewee will be together, and Bantam and Midget will be together.
