WYCLEF JEAN - DETAINED

Wyclef Jean says he was mistaken for an armed robbery suspect and briefly detained in Los Angeles. Wyclef posted a video yesterday on Twitter showing himself in handcuffs next to a patrol car. Jean tells The Associated Press he was cuffed before he was asked his name or told what he was accused of. He says he was ``treated like a criminal.'' A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff says Jean's clothing and vehicle matched the description of a suspect. Jean was released, and the department has apologized. Two suspects have been arrested.

``NO SCRUBS'' - ``SHAPE OF YOU''

Ed Sheeran's team has quietly given credit to the writers of ``No Scrubs'' by T-L-C for influencing his song ``Shape of You.'' ASCAP now lists Kevin ``She'kspeare'' Briggs, Kandi Burruss and Tameka ``Tiny'' Cottle as co-writers of ``Shape of You.'' Many listeners had noted the similarities between the songs.

Burruss writes her thanks to Sheeran on social media and says she dances every time ``Shape of You'' comes on. Cottle writes on Instagram, ``Ayeeee! Ed Sheeran 'Shape of You' - blessed.''

GUCCI MANE - MEMOIR

Gucci Mane had a lot of time to himself while sitting in prison on a weapons charge. That's when he started writing his life story. ``The Autobiography of Gucci Mane'' will be released in September. He will tell tales of his roots in Alabama and how he found his voice as a rapper. He won't shy away from the dark stuff, either: his drug addiction, prison sentences and violent past.

PAUL MCCARTNEY - ELVIS COSTELLO  (NOTE LANGUAGE)

In 1987, Paul McCartney asked Elvis Costello to write songs together to diversify his style. Costello tried not to geek out on playing with a Beatle. The two paired up for McCartney's ``Flowers in the Dirt'' album. Costello says he tried ``not to turn up in short trousers with my fan club card sticking out of my top pocket.'' He played it cool but he couldn't help but look up now and then and think, ``Bloody hell, it's him!'' ''Flowers in the Dirt`` has been reissued with bonus tracks of demos they didn't use.

McCartney says if they had done a few more, they could have made ''a crazy album,`` but that's as far as they got.

MELISSA ETHERIDGE - WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH - CONCERT

Melissa Etheridge says she had no problem coming up with great musicians to play with in Nashville and they all happened to be women. Cam, Orianthi (or-ee-AHN'-thee), Lindsay Ell and Troi Irons joined Etheridge Monday for a celebration of Women's History Month. Etheridge says what's changing in music and in society is that such a thing is not unusual anymore. Cam says it was great to stand around talking about gear and guitar pedals with other women. Orianthi says she recalls a teacher suggesting she play harp instead of guitar because a harp is more feminine. She says she had such a passion for guitar that she stuck with her original choice.
