The Dauphin Kings ended their 3-in-3 on a high note, as Keaton Leininger scored three goals, recording the natural hat trick, to defeat the Portage Terriers 3-1.

It was the Kings second win in Portage this season and they now have a 2-2-1 record against them.

The win moves the Kings within 4 points of the Swan Valley Stampeders for the final playoff spot; however, the Neepawa Natives earned a point with a shootout loss to Selkirk and remain in 9th place. Both the Kings and Natives have 27 points but Neepawa has three games in hand.

Duncan McGovern earned his first win as a King in his second start stopping 25 shots, including several highlight reel saves.

The Kings now shift their focus to Thursday's game on the road against Wayway.
