Parkland doing their part to help national Ag industry

Diversity is what the Parkland brings to the Canadian agriculture market.

That is from FCC Senior Ag Economist Craig Klemmer. He talks about the major crops that are grown in our region that are great for Canada’s global trade.

“And when we think about the Parkland region, because of the diversity we need the entire country to do their part. But one of the areas of growth that continue to see growth is the canola market. We’re also seeing that soy oil and soybeans are another area where we’re gaining a little bit of traction.”

Klemmer says there are more opportunities with pulse crops, such as peas, in the Parkland.
