Sunrise and Prairie Mountain Credit Unions Talk About Merging

To keep the competitive advantage and offer members more, Sunrise Credit Union and Prairie Mountain Credit Union are looking to merge.

Information meetings will be held on Monday in Ste. Rose starting at 7:30 in the evening at the Jolly Club and in Laurier on Tuesday at 7:30 in the evening at New Horizons.

Sunrise Credit Union CEO, Tim Klassen, explains how this merger will benefit the membership.

“Members will see a benefit in terms of the increase in some of the products and some services that they currently don’t have,” noted Klassen.  “A big one is on the technology side, we will be able to provide the ability for them to have mobile apps and mobile pay  and e-transfers is another service or product we will be able to offer.”

A voting meeting will be held in early December.
