Check out Radford Ranch During Open Farm Day This Sunday

Radford Ranch is holding Open Farm Day events on Sunday.

From 12 until 6 pm there are many active families are able to take part in according to Carla Radford.

``Our farm shows a working cattle ranch and horses also. And we have laying hens, exotic birds, sheep, kids can collect the eggs. We have a milk cow with calves on it so they can see how that process is done daily. And we are also selling beef burgers so they can come and have lunch and there will be drinks and some ice cream treats for purchase that day. And we`re having a horse drawn wagon rides so that they can get on and see how we bail graze our cattle in the winter time, and can take in the great view have in the valley, here."

To get to Radford Ranch drive 9 miles south of Roblin on Highway 83 to road 142 then they are one mile east.

Grandmothers Protecting Our Children Walk

The 7th annual Grandmothers Protecting Our Children Walk took place today starting at 7:00 this morning with the Lighting of the Sacred Fire and the walk at 10:00 starting at the Dauphin Friendship Centre.

Approximately 30 women and children participated in the walk to raise awareness about abuse and sexual exploitation of children.

The walk is a national event and continues to grow in numbers.
