RCMP respond to Side by Side ATV rollover south of Ile Des Chenes

On Saturday around 7:45 pm, officers from the St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of a Side by Side ATV rollover south of Ile Des Chenes.

Investigators believe the Side by Side was heading northbound in a ditch beside the old 59 Highway when it rolled which ejected  both occupants from the vehicle.

A 53-year-old male from Hughenden, Alberta, and a 36-year-old male from Calgary were transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in this collision. Both occupants were not wearing any helmets and it is unknown if seatbelts were in use.

Officers from the St. Pierre-Jolys Detachment continue to investigate.
