Team Turko Fertilizer skipped by Dauphin's Kyle Forsyth is on top of the Parkland. The foursome which includes Jarvis Whyte, Cody Hill, and Trent Hill won the Parkland Super League of Curling last night inside of the Dauphin Curling Club.

The team earned a berth in the final by beating Team Oil Depot skipped by Jim Todoruk, 6-2 in their semi-final. In the final, they continued their strong play by beating Team Nutrien Ag Solutions skipped by Glenn Toews, 6-5.

This year was the first time the foursome played together in this league, although they have played together before outside of the league.

"It was good, we battled hard all year," said Forsyth. "We had our ups and downs, but we battled through them and kept every game close."

The team was nearly unbeatable all season long. In the round-robin, they went 11-3. So add the two playoff wins and the team finished the season at 13-3 and they now have four plaques and will forever be known as Super League Champions.

"We never got down on ourselves if we were trailing, we just played our game every time out," continued Forsyth.

The team was also sponsored by Fusion Credit Union, Mossey River Inn, Style Mercantile, and Tryco Excavating. The winning feeling certainly wasn't a first for Kyle. He won the league three seasons ago and four seasons ago.

That means in less than five years, the Dauphin native has skipped a team to a title three times and the feeling of winning never gets old.

"It's a great feeling to win the league again," added Forsyth. "I have to give my team a ton of credit; they played so well and gave us a chance to win every time."

The team plans to play again next season as they'll look to repeat as champions.

Next up for Kyle is the Travelers Curling Club Provincial Championships that take place later this year. That team includes Forsyth, Darius Vendramin, Cody Hill, and Jarvis Whyte.
