Ste. Rose's Hydro Office to close
Ste. Rose is one of 12 communities in Manitoba that is having their hydro office close.
Many of the communities that are facing the closure of their hydro offices are disappointed in the decision for many reasons.
Ste. Rose Mayor, Robert Brunel notes the impact this will have on the future of the community.
"Anytime an office or business close it's going to effect our community, you know there's a few jobs that are directly linked to that office that will be lost [...] the fear is that future Manitoba Hydro employees won't live within our community, so therefore it just starts to shrink our community."
The 12 Manitoba Hydro offices marked will be closed as of May 19th.
