MBP Carbon Pricing Policies Could Help Parkland Producers

The Manitoba Beef Producers have taken their stance on carbon pricing.

MBP released their carbon pricing policy Thursday morning, and held a conference call with the media as well.

President Ben Fox believes that, if used, their policies could benefit Parkland producers going forward.

"If it comes to fruition where our ideas six ideas from our paper get utilized, it'll be a big lift for the beef producers, and basically all agriculture producers in the province."


Part of MBP's policy implementations include exempting on-farm agricultural emissions, and recognizing agriculture for the greenhouse gas reduction benefits it provides.
