MUSIC NEWS: MONDAY, JULY 24, 2017 BEYONCE - WAX FIGURE The wax figure of Beyonce at Madame Tussauds museum in New York has been made over to actually look like Beyonce this time. Fans complained the figure looked more like Lindsay Lohan or Shakira than Beyonce and that the skin was too light. The New York Times reports the figure was taken out on Thursday. Madame Tussauds says it's back on display after adjustments to ``the styling and lighting of her figure,'' but the museum won't say what changes were made. --- SARA EVANS - FEMALE SONGWRITERS Sara Evans accidentally made an album that celebrates women songwriters. Evans says she finished her ``Words'' album when one of her label employees pointed out all 14 songs had been written or co-written by a female songwriter. MUSIC NEWS: FRIDAY, JULY 21, 2017 OBIT - CHESTER BENNINGTON Los Angeles authorities are investigating the death of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington as a suicide. His body was found at his home near Los Angeles yesterday, according to the Los Angeles County coroner. Bennington was 41. Bennington and Mike Shinoda acted as vocal counterparts to each other on Linkin Park songs like ``Crawling,'' ''Numb,`` ''In The End`` and ''One Step Closer.`` Linkin Park won two Grammys, including best rap/sung collaboration with Jay Z for ''Numb/Encore.`` Bennington had briefly been the singer for Stone Temple Pilots after the death of Scott Weiland. Bennington had been married twice and had six children. Bieber's song ``Sorry'' has 4.38-billion streams. It just lost that title to ``Despacito'' by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, which has a couple of different versions, including a remix featuring the Canadian pop star. ``Despacito'' has been streamed more than 4.6-billion times since it came out in January. --- MADONNA - MEMORABILIA SALE Madonna is blaming a former friend for unlawfully selling her personal items, including her underwear. Police say 22-year-old Speck Mellencamp was arrested for public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. Police say he was ``very belligerent and unco-operative.'' Twenty-three-year-old Hud Mellencamp told police a man attacked him. The brothers were involved in a fight at a party in 2013 and both were charged with felony battery. MUSIC NEWS: MONDAY, JULY 17, 2017 AARON CARTER - ARRESTED Aaron Carter's Twitter account says he missed his Kansas City show on Saturday because of ``transportation issues.'' Authorities in Georgia say it's because Carter and his girlfriend were arrested on marijuana charges. The Habersham County Sheriff's Office says Carter and Madison Parker were arrested Saturday about 80 miles northeast of Atlanta. They were charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and drug-related objects. Parker also was charged with obstruction of law enforcement. Carter was released on bail yesterday.
