MUSIC NEWS: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2017 CHRIS BROWN - RESTRAINING ORDER A judge has ordered Chris Brown to stay at least 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, after she accused him of threatening her. Tran said in court filings Brown punched her in the stomach and pushed her down stairs a few years ago. She says he repeatedly threatened her since December. The order also calls for Brown to surrender any firearms until his March 9th court hearing on the restraining order. Meanwhile, Soulja Boy says his three-round boxing pay-per-view event against Brown has been cancelled. Soulja Boy says Brown's manager says Brown won't sign the contract. Metallica and Lady Gaga collaborated on the song ``Moth Into Flame,'' but only her microphone worked. Ulrich says his ``phone blew up'' with friends calling to say ``how awesome it was that Gaga and James were in each other's face, singing into the same microphone.'' He says the ``energy and the spectacle came across.'' Metallica will launch a tour May 10th in Baltimore. Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat will open. MUSIC NEWS: FEBRUARY 14, 2017

MUSIC NEWS: FEBRUARY 14, 2017 GRAMMY - RATINGS Did you watch the Grammys on Sunday? Turns out you had a lot of company _ at least more so than in recent years. The Nielsen company reports the show pulled in 26-million viewers this time around. That's a four-per cent increase over last year. But that was a pretty small hill to climb, seeing that last year's Grammys represented the smallest Grammy audience since 2009. Ocean didn't make his album available for Grammy consideration because he has a beef with the awards' voting system. The fight flared up again when Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich ripped Ocean's performance at the 2013 Grammys. Ehrlich told a Rolling Stone podcast Ocean had a ``faulty'' vision for…
