U-S President Barack Obama became the first American president to visit Cuba in 88 years that same week. ``Havana Moon'' is out November 11th. --- MARTY ROBBINS BOULEVARD City officials in Glendale have named a street after late country star Marty Robbins. He was born in the Phoenix suburb in 1925. Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers helped unveil the new sign near 58th Avenue on Monday, which would have been Robbins' 91st birthday. Sheeran donated 13 bags of his clothes to The St. Elizabeth Hospice Shop in Framlingham, England. The shop made 3,200 dollars on Saturday by selling Sheeran's old T-shirts, hoodies, shoes and other apparel. The shop pulled in 15-hundred dollars in the first 30 minutes. Some of the higher-profile items are for sale now on eBay. Summers tells the Boston Globe that Geils disputes the facts of the case. Police say Geils rear-ended a car in Concord, Massachusetts, on Tuesday afternoon. Geils was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and failing to stop at a sign. No one was hurt. Geils was released on personal recognizance at his arraignment Wednesday. --- TOBY KEITH SHOW - POSTPONED Toby Keith called off his concert in Florence, South Carolina, last night because of the gas shortages that have hit the region. As the tour wound up in Philadelphia on Tuesday, bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement. Williams says it has nothing to do with the other band members leaving. The 66-year-old says he just doesn't want to tour anymore and he wants to spend time with his family. Singer Brian Johnson sat out the tour because of hearing issues. Guitarist Malcolm Young dropped out in 2014 to seek treatment for dementia. MUSIC NEWS: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2016 Tragically Hip Cancer Donations The Canadian Cancer Society and the Sunnybrook Foundation say the Tragically Hip's recent tour has raised more than $1 million for brain cancer research in Canada. The Sunnybrook Foundation says donations totalling nearly $800,000 have been made to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. The fund _ named for the band's lead singer _ is designed to give brain cancer researchers the tools to help beat brain cancers that are currently unbeatable. Dr. Sian Bevan of the Canadian Cancer Society says the almost $400,000 in donations it has received will support Canadian Cancer Trials Group _ which is based out of Queen's University in the Hip's hometown of Kingston, Ont. _ as it tests new ways to treat or manage cancer. Turns out for one thing, it won't be as big as first thought. The family originally planned to have it at the new N-F-L stadium in Minneapolis. But it's being scaled back _ and will be at the smaller Xcel Energy Center in neighbouring St. Paul. Tickets go on sale next week.
