The fourth annual event, which sold out in record time, brought the province's vibrant music community together to raise funds and awareness for the Unison Benevolent Fund. At their annual Valentine's Day Ball Saturday night, the Zirka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble came out to strut their stuff before an adoring crowd full of family and friends. Seniors, Junior Girls, Introductory & Kindergarten, Beginner 1 & 2, Intermediate Girls, Novice & Intermediate Boys all put on an excellent performance at the Knights on 11th.

A very enthusiastic crowd made it out to see a total of 5 great local acts at the Watson Art Centre on Valentine's Day. Under the Hill Frannie Klein Jordan Allard Fernande McNabb Act of Divide Thanks to all who came out to listen and a huge thank you to the artists who all put on great performances. Former area resident Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner of RED MOON ROAD and other Manitoba acts head to Kansas City for International Folk Alliance. WINNIPEG, MB – Manitoba acts are packing up their guitars and heading to Kansas City, Missouri next week to showcase for the folk and roots music industry. The International Folk Alliance Conference (IFA), which runs February 19-12, is the premier professional development conference focused on folk, roots, multicultural, and world music in North America. The showcase is the latest in a series of partnered events with SaskMusic, Alberta Music, and MusicBC under the BreakOut West banner. The lineup boasts 40 acts in total, including Manitoba performers Del Barber, Ruth Moody, JP Hoe, Crooked Brothers, Sweet Alibi, Red Moon Road (featuring former Ste.
