The event includes the duos of John Morris and Rachel Homan, Kaitlyn Lawes and Ryan Fry, Lisa Weagle and John Epping, Val Sweeting and Brad Gushue and last year's Manitoba men's Champion Mike McEwen and his wife Dawn.

"It's always great to be hanging around these guys and girls," said Ray Baker. "They're good people and great players. It's always fun to play against them, and we've probably played against 50 percent of the field in the last couple of years, but this event, in particular, seems to have attracted the best in the curling world."

Lisa and Ray begin their Mixed Doubles Classic tomorrow evening at 6:00 o'clock against Anastasia Bryzgalova and Alexander Krushelnitskiy

"We've worked pretty hard in the last couple of weeks to get some practice under our belt, but we haven't had a lot of ice time, and I think a lot of these teams have," said Baker. "I don't know that our expectations are super high, but with a little luck we can get things going early, and make some shots."

The tournament is a triple knockout and is Ray's and Lisa's first of the season.
