The Dauphin Kings have been scoring a lot and they've been winning games lately.
That's what the club hopes to continue doing tonight as they welcome the Winnipeg Blues to Credit Union Place.
Dauphin has won two straight games. They've also scored 27 goals in their last six games which included shutting out Winnipeg, 4-0 on November 14.
"We need to have a high energy level and a lot of speed away from the puck," said Doug Hedley. "We had outstanding support the last time we played Winnipeg here and we had a ton of 10-foot passes. When we use our speed, we're a good hockey club."
Thanks to their two-game winning streak, the Kings are now in fifth place alone in the MJHL. A win tonight would move them into a tie for fourth in the league.
Riley Shamray will also look to keep it going. He's coming off being named one of the Runner Ups for MJHL Player of the Week.
The Kings power play is in seventh in the MJHL. It's at 17.4%. The team's penalty kill is in 6th at 81.2%
