Dauphin Fire Department says on their Facebook page that shortly after 8:00 am, a grain dryer caught on fire at Cargill Agriculture Service. located at Whitmore Ave E.
Crews were able to contain the fire located near Whitmore Ave E and 1st Ave SE fairly quickly.
Crews remained on scene to assist with Cargill staff with dumping large quantities of beans from the systems to ensure there will be no rekindling of a fire.
There are no injuries and no estimates of damages to report as of yet.
