Five people died in three separate collisions.

Yesterday morning, two women from Winnipeg, 21 and 26, were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 75, south of St. Norbert. Police say speed, alcohol, and distracted driving are considered factors.

On Friday night, a 27-year-old Brandon man was killed in collision on Highway 1 in which a pickup truck hit the back of a semi-trailer.

A 63-year-old man and a 29-year-old man, both from MacGregor, were killed in another collision on the Trans-Canada Highway Friday night. Police say they located an eastbound truck that had collided with a westbound minivan after receiving a report of a pickup truck driving fast on the wrong side of the road. Both men were the lone occupants of their vehicles.
