Jim Kamann, conservation officer says that if you are planning on taking your shack off the ice today, to just be cautious and use common sense.

"Whenever you do venture out on ice go and monitor the weather, certainly let people know where you are going. You know there is a big difference whether you walk, or snow machine, quad, truck or a car. It doesn't hurt to wear floater pants, floater jacket, ice picks, those kind of things."

Kamann says since seasonal temperatures are going to come back this week, it's not mandatory to take your shack off by tomorrow, they are just suggesting that it'd be safe to take it off sooner than later.
