The Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Parkland Community Futures to announce ‘Shop It Forward”! This is an awareness campaign to encourage our community to shop local, when you shop locally, these businesses can give back to our local community to help local organizations in their fundraising.  If you or any family members use local community services or are part of a community group, you can be guaranteed local businesses have donated to this group. So please shop local whenever you can! 

Catalyst Credit Union is hosting their Adult Mixed Golf Tournaments with a 10 Thousand Dollar Hole in one, at the Roblin Golf and Country Club on Friday June 9th, and at the Dauphin Lake Golf Resort on Thursday June 15th. 730 CKDM is very proud to be part of the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Football Radio Network, and we will broadcast all 2017 Regular Season Games! In the house, at the farm, in the garage or the shop, in the tractor, or even sittin around a fire, wherever you are, we will have complete Blue Bomber Coverage for you all season long, during CKDM Sports and all 2017 Regular Season Games! The Dauphin Legion is proud to host BBQ fundraisers on the following Friday’s May 19, June 16, July 7, July 28, Aug 18, and Sept 8. They will start at 11am and go until 1:30. You are encouraged to come out and support this fundraiser event for the Dauphin Legion, and also some tasty BBQ. 

Bannock Burgers are back for the summer, so head to the Dauphin Friendship Centre each Friday beginning this Friday May 19th til August 25th for thier Bannaock Burger sales from 11:30 to 1pm in the front of the Frienship Centre, with proceeds going towards the summer camp programming.

Tickets for Dauphin's Countryfest 2017, are now on sale. Purchase your tickets in person at the Countryfest Office in Dauphin, also by calling 1-800-361-7300. Countryfest will be held June 29th to July 2nd. The line up is loaded including Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Tim Hicks, Meghan Patrick, Johnny Reid, Doc Walker and more.

Season Tickets for the Dauphin Kings 50th Anniversary Campaign are on sale NOW! Adults are $199 until June 30, when the Early Bird Deadline passes. Student Season Tickets are $99 and a 30 game flex pack is $229. All Season Ticket holders will receive a special coupon book with their tickets during exhibition games in September. The coupon book is expected to have over $200 in savings and deals for fans. To order your tickets head down to the Kings Office at Credit Union Place or call 204-622-5461.

The Dauphin Food Bank is always in need of non perishable food items. Any and all donations are needed including canned soups, pasta sauce, dry pasta, canned meat and fish,dry cereal, oatmeal, brown beans. fruit juices, mac and cheese, canned fruit, and canned tomatoes. Please drop off your items at the collection bin at Safeway, or you can arrange for drop off at the food bank by calling 638-7853. Please check your food donations for best before and expiry dates before donating. 

The Dauphin and District Community Food Bank will be having intake days on the following Thursday's, May 25, June 8, June 22, July 6, July 20, Aug 3, Aug 17, and Aug 31, from 5pm to 8pm. For those grieving the death of a loved one by suicide Prairie Mountain Health presents Rediscover: Parkland Suicide Bereavement Support Group. Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month. The Dauphin Friendship Centre is now taking Registration for their Summer Camp program which runs Monday thru Friday, 8:15 am to 2.30pm from July 4th til August 23rd.  The camp is free for children aged 6-12, and kids can be registered for up to 3 weeks of camp. The City of Dauphin Spring Clean-up begins on Tuesday, May 23 in the Day 1 Area.  Once the Day 1 area is complete, crews will progress through the remainder of the 4 - day cycle. City crews will only be collecting compostable materials - accumulated garden waste, grass, leaves, shrubs and tree branches. Remember, composting materials can be dropped off anytime at City Waste Disposal Site northwest of Dauphin.  For more information call 204-622-3202.

Swimming Lesson Registration night will be held in Grandview on Wednesday May 24, from 5pm to 7:30pm in the GACC Lobby, this same day Roblin Ford will be bringing some New Ford Vehicles to test drive, for the Drive One for Your Community Fundraiser! For every valid test drive, Ford will give the Grandview Rec Commission $20. 

The DRSS Clipper Girls Rugby Team invite you out to the DRCSS field in Dauphin on Wednesday May 24th, as they host Souris in Provincial Rugby Playoffs, come cheer on the girls as they hope to advance to the finals.

Love & Persson (Peer-son) Group's Relay for Life Team (Love Relay) will be having a Fund Raiser BBQ to raise money for Relay for Life on Friday May 26 from 11am to 2pm across the street from their office in Grandview. Get a hot dog, drink & rice Krispy cake or puffed wheat cake for only $5.00. Come out and support this fundraising event with all proceeds going towards Cancer Research and Support.

CKDM Morning Guy Al Gaines welcomes Kevin Steinbachs's in studio Monday morning May 29th, Kevin will chat about the upcoming First ever Moose Knuckle Adventure Race at the Riding Mountain National Park on Saturday June 3rd. 

You are encouraged to support a Hot Dog Sale Fundraiser at the McCreary Drop in Center this Monday May 29, starting at 1pm. This is sale is in support of a young McCreary family whose daughter was recently diagnosed with Leukemia, this fundraiser will help them with travel and lodging expenses for the young girl and her Chemo treatments in Winnipeg.

Attend a free walking event at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Walking Track on Tuesday May 30, from 2pm to 3pm. Come out and walk with medical students who are in Dauphin for rural week, enjoy the walk and meet some welcome guests and visitors to our community.

This is the one day each year in which all the proceeds from ALL HOT COFFEE sales go towards sending a local kid to Camp, also purchase raffle tickets to win some amazing prizes including an Autographed Framed Photo of Coach Barry Trotz and Alexander Ovechkin from the Washington Capitals, as well as a Framed CFL Tim Card Collection, and be sure to shop the huge yard sale as well. Register for and participate in the Moose Knuckles Adventure Race in the Riding Mountain National Park on Saturday June 3rd, starting at 8am. This is a 10 hour adventure through the park including pack rafting, trekking and navigation with map and compass for teams of 2 to 4 people. Catch all the excitement you can handle, during the Parkland High School Rodeo in Gilbert Plains, on Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4,  events start at 9:30am both days. The Parkland High School Rodeo highlights all of your favorite Rodeo events, including Bull Riding Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Barrel Racing, Break Away Roping, Goat Tying, Pole Bending, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Chute Dogging, and Ribbon Roping! That’s the Parkland High School Rodeo in Gilbert Plains, Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4, starting at 9:30am both days. 730 CKDM is a proud sponsor of the Parkland High School Rodeo. 

Don't miss the Annual High Flying, High Stepping Square Dance Competition hosted by the Dauphin Friendship Center at Credit Union Place on Saturday June 3rd, with several different groups participating from across Manitoba. Junior, Intermediate, Adult and Senior Groups will be represented. Cash prizes awarded for 1st to 3rd in each category. Registration is at 9:30, competition begins at 11:30am. The Dauphin Lions Club will host their Ten thousand dollar Super Bingo fundraiser, on Saturday June 3rd at the Parkland Rec Complex Curling Rink. Doors open at 4:30, share the wealth at 5:30! Regular games start at 7:30.  

The Rotary Club of Dauphin will host their Lobsterfest Kitchen Party on Saturday June 3rd at the Dauphin Fair Grounds and Rotary Arena, along with fresh lobster, there will be a pig roast and an east coast Kitchen Party with Tom Foolery. Tickets available from Rotary Members and select local businesses.

Exercise for a good cause at the Swan River Fun Run on Sunday, June 4th at 8 am at the Swan River Manitoba Legion Park. There will be three events, the 1/2 marathon for $45, the 5 kilometer walk/run for $25, the 10 kilometer walk/run for $25 and the 1 kilometer kids walk which is free. The Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Annual State of the District on Tuesday June 6, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Watson Art Center, this event is being hosted and presented in partnership with the RM of Dauphin, $17.50 per person, or $122.50 for a table of 8. Dauphin will host the Annual Manitoba High School Rugby All Star Game at the DRCSS in Dauphin on Saturday June 10th, all are invited out to watch this game.
