Dauphin Rec Services is hosting Firearms Courses in March; on Saturday, March 17th it’s a Non-Restricted Course from 9 am to 6 pm.

Cost $70 per person; must be at least 12-years-old to participate.

The 2018 WAC Concert Series kicks off this Friday, March 16th, with 2018 Juno Award Nominees Indian City, at the Watson Art Centre.  Experience an evening that captures the spirit and pulse of vibrant Indigenous Culture through a dynamic fusion of lyrics, music, and personality.

The Dauphin Public Library will host another Third Thursday Music Night, on Thursday, March 15th, starting at 7 pm.

Come and enjoy the wealth of talent being developed in the DRCSS jazz and choir programs.

Under the direction of Andrew Coombs, these young musicians will be sure to amaze!

The Dauphin and District Community Food Bank provides food for people in need, on specific Thursdays each month, from 5 pm to 8 pm.  You must come in person, and bring your Manitoba Health Card, in order to receive food.

You can get food every 4 weeks. If you want more information you can call 204-638-7853 and leave a message.

The Food Bank is located at Parkland Crossing at 220 Whitmore Avenue West.

You may request Food Assistance on these days:  March 15, March 29, April 12, and April 26.

Members of the Dauphin Fire Department are once again hosting their Annual Firefighter Campout, raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy.  The event will take place on the roof of the Dauphin Market Place Mall, March 15th to 18th!  Our local Firefighters are looking for your support through sponsorships and donations.  If you would like to help out, please contact Marie, at 204-648-4797.

Members of the Prairie Mountain Credit Union are invited to attend a special meeting on Wednesday, March 14th, 7:30 pm, at the Ste. Rose Community Hall, to approve the proposed amalgamation of the Prairie Mountain Credit Union and Sunrise Credit Union; there is a special resolution to approve the amalgamation, and all members are invited to attend the meeting.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress - Dauphin Parkland Branch, along with Aid Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection, will be showing a documentary on Wednesday, March 14, in the Church auditorium, at 7 pm.

The directors of the film, the brother of the individual in the film, and the film's animator will also be attending for a question and answer period.

"Myth" is about a famous Ukrainian opera singer, who fought on the front lines in eastern Ukraine.

The movie is in Ukrainian and French, but has English subtitles.

Admission by donations accepted at the door.
Funds raised will support The Wassyl Slipak Foundation and Dopomoha Ukraini - Aid Ukraine on going PTSD Family Re-Integration Program for ATO veterans.

Walking Wednesdays are back at Credit Union Place in Dauphin!  The Dauphin Rotary Club is sponsoring a free day of walking at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Walking Track, at Credit Union Place, each Wednesday from October 4th to April 25th.

The Dauphin & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting their Annual Community Connection Lunch Series, at the Lion's Den in the Parkland Rec Complex, starting at 11:45 am.

Tickets are available for each session.  Call the Chamber office to secure your tickets, at 204-622-3140.

Your next session is on March 13th, and will be the Chamber Appreciation Lunch.

The McCreary Swimming Pool will host their Annual General Meeting at the Recreation Office on Monday, March 12th, starting at 7:30 pm; executive members and board members are both needed.
