Intermountain Sport Fish Enhancement, along with the Dauphin Co-op, are hosting their 21st Annual Family Ice Fishing Derby on Sunday, March 18th, from 11 am to 2 pm at Dauphin Lake.  Come out for Tim Hortons Hot Chocolate, along with Hot Dogs, and drinks provided by the Dauphin Co-op Kids Club.  All holes are pre-drilled.  Head north on Highway 20 until road 154, then follow the Derby markers.  Come on out and enjoy a day of family fun!

Dauphin Rec Services is hosting Firearms Courses in March, upstairs in the Rotary Arena; on Sunday, March 18th it’s a Restricted (Hand Guns) Course from 9 am to 6 pm.  Cost $70 per person; must be at least 18-years-old to participate.

The Dauphin Polar Plunge, in support of Special Olympics Manitoba, is on Saturday, March 17thThis year, the Polar Plunge takes place at Credit Union Place, at 2pm, and you can register on the day of the plunge beginning at 12noon.

To take part in the event, you will need to raise $150 in donations. The dollars raised go towards supporting sports programs, like the provincial team program, as well as grassroots sports programs. The donations will also go towards the Parkland athletes, to assist in their training, and the cost of getting to the games.

Three athletes in the Parkland are going to the National Bowling Championships, in May in PEI, and six are going to the National Summer Games, in August in Nova Scotia. For more information, you can check out the Dauphin Polar Plunge 2018's Facebook page.
