You are invited to attend the Valley River Community Centre Annual General Meeting on Thursday, April 12th, starting at 7 pm.  Members are encouraged to attend, and those interested in becoming members are welcome.

The Dauphin and District Community Food Bank provides food for people in need, on specific Thursdays each month, from 5 pm to 8 pm.  You must come in person, and bring your Manitoba Health Card, in order to receive food.

You can get food every 4 weeks. If you want more information you can call 204-638-7853 and leave a message.

The Food Bank is located at Parkland Crossing at 220 Whitmore Avenue West.

You may request Food Assistance on these days:  April 12, and April 26.

The Dauphin branch of Catalyst Credit Union will host another Shredfest - free shredding of personal documents - on Thursday, April 12th, from 11 am to 1 pm.  Help avoid identity theft by having these items shredded for free.  There is a limit of two (2) boxes per person.

Walking Wednesdays are back at Credit Union Place in Dauphin!  The Dauphin Rotary Club is sponsoring a free day of walking at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Walking Track, at Credit Union Place, each Wednesday from October 4th to April 25th.

On Tuesday night, April 10th, at 7 pm, there will be a Toastmasters Open House Information Session at Assiniboine Community College in Dauphin.  With a Guest presenter from Winnipeg, introducing the new Toastmasters International Pathways Program to develop your communication and leadership skills.  For more info, call 204-638-8336.  Everyone welcome!

The Winnipegosis Sopilka Dancers will host a Bottle Drive fundraiser in Winnipegosis, on Tuesday, April 10th, starting at 5 pm.  They'll be going door-to-door, collecting beer bottles and beer cans.  If you can donate any toward this fundraiser, please call 204-646-4184.

The Dauphin & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting their Annual Community Connection Lunch Series at the Lion's Den, in the Parkland Rec Complex, starting at 11:45 am.

Tickets are available for each session.  Call the Chamber office to secure your tickets, at 204-622-3140.

Your next session is on April 10th, and it will be on Utilizing Local Resources.

Enjoy a Seniors' Old Tyme Dance & Potluck Supper at the Russell Leisure Centre on Monday, April 9th, from 7:30 pm to 11 pm, in Russell, MB.  Music will be provided by the Pelly Trail Band.  Admission is $10, and please bring something for the Potluck Supper.

The Dauphin Rotary Club is once again proud to host the Book Fair fundraiser, at the Dauphin Market Place Mall, on Tuesday, April 10th, to Saturday, April 14th.  Buy, read, donate!  Gently used books accepted; please no textbooks or encyclopedias.  You can drop off books during the sale.
